kingdom investment

At the heart of Freeway’s culture is a deep conviction that the Gospel is for everyone, which includes our neighbors and the nations. We believe that generosity is one of the most tangible ways we can participate in what God is doing in the world, and giving to missions is an act of worship, as well as an act of obedience.

As a church, we invest in both local and international missions. We call this our Kingdom Investment initiative as we believe that investing in these organizations is further investing in God’s name being proclaimed and His Kingdom being furthered to the ends of the earth.

local impact

Locally, we partner with ministries and organizations in the Triangle area serving those in need.

The Carying Place teaches homeless working families with children financial literacy and other life skills to attain independent living, while providing short-term housing and support services to address their individual needs. We feel that this organization is doing a lot in our community by serving people who need assistance in a tangible way.

Leaders Collective is a para-church organization that is committed to helping pastors and other leaders in the church. They come alongside churches to help develop and care for their leaders, so they can do the work God called them to do in the local church. We have had a relationship with this organization for a few years and have seen the fruit of their leadership development in amazing ways.

Read and Feed is a local organization that seeks to strengthen literacy skills among underserved elementary school children and provide meals in a nurturing neighborhood environment. Freeway has partnered with Read and Feed through monetary giving, book drives, and volunteering time. We look forward to a continued relationship with this organization.

international impact

Internationally, we support organizations that are carrying the Gospel to places where it has rarely or never been heard, trusting that God's love knows no borders.

City of Refuge Ministries is a ministry in Ghana that serves children and communities. They are working to not only rescue children out of child slavery but also to prevent children from being sold. They are doing this by empowering single mothers who are vulnerable to selling their children. Additionally, they have partnered with IJM as they work to rescue children actively enslaved on Lake Volta. It is their goal to allow these children to have a childhood since so many of them come out of situations where they were working long hours on fishing boats or doing domestic chores. We believe that City of Refuge Ministries is doing amazing work for children and families in Ghana and wish to contribute toward their mission.

Compassion International shares the hope of the gospel in word and action, releasing children from poverty in Jesus’ name. They care for vulnerable children — mind, body and soul — with programs delivered through local churches in their communities. Freeway has committed to sponsoring three children, ages 3, 5, and 15, who live in Kenya. Through our sponsorship, Mathew, Saam, and Shantel will have basic needs met, will be introduced to Jesus and the gospel, and will be given resources to prepare for a future beyond poverty.

Mathew, age 3

Saam, age 15

Shantel, age 5

When you give to missions, you're not simply writing a check.
You're sending the message of Jesus across the street and around the world.
